How was congress involved with the watergate scandal?

The radical left-wing neo-isolationists used this molehill to drive Richard Nixon out of office so they could cut off economic and military aid to South Vietnam and set them up for the North Vietnamese invasion in 1975 backed all the way by the USSR. Once Nixon was hounded from office these neo-isolationsts disengaged the United States from the Cold War and sat smugly on their collective A$$ES and watched while the USSR rampaged all over the world engaged in Wars of National Liberation and destabilized SEA, South and Central America, sub-Saharan Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia. Essentially Watergate for the liberal Democrats was a coup d'�tat by temper-tantrum.
