What is sqe.exe in my task manager and should i end it?

I currently have a virus on my computer that i'm trying to get rid of. I've noticed that i always have 1 process in my task manager called sqe.exe but every time i do something that the virus doesn't like, up pops another one that looks exactly the same except the new one is 1,100K instead of the usually 17,286k. If i try to end the new sqe.exe that pops up, an error window comes up telling me that it can't be ended. should i end the one that is always there? how do i get rid of the virus that lets me have very minimal control over my computer? it calls itself "XP Home Security 2011 (Unregistered Version)".
