Would having an unregistered charity "distinguish myself" when applying to very prestigious colleges?
I head an unregistered charity which deals with the donation of English books to Russian schools, which has already donated over 1,700 books from all over the United States. I know that in today's competitive school admission process, one must have a "personal black sheep," which shall make me stand out. I have a 3.7 unweighted cumulative average, mainly 700's on my SAT's, NHS, I head a few clubs at my school, good community service, and all that. Will the charity make me have a shot at an Ivy?
